My car, for the first time in a long time, is very much done , aside from a built motor. I can finally focus on driving it more than building it and what can I say, I’m happy! My first track day was booked after being wait listed and I wasn’t sure what to expect after getting approved.
Early Saturday morning I packed up and took the exhausting 2 hour drive up to Lime Rock Park for a day that will never be forgotten as my track virginity was reaped from me by the cambered apexes, straights and aggressive elevation changes.
The day started very disappointing. Ten minutes from the track it had started to snow and collecting fast. I was pissed, needless to say, at the fact that I may have driven all this way just to be sent home, but the stars and planets aligned and the fairy-like track workers did their magic clearing the slush. By the second session the whole track was dry and I was able to start laying the pipe…I mean hard lapping.

You get the idea…
At the end of the day my expectations were beyond exceeded! The camaraderie at the track was unlike anything else as everyone there had one thing in common, motorsports.
I’d like to personally thank NASA and the Lime Rock Staff for organizing unforgettable day of driving. I will undoubtedly be back for more (With better brake pads!).
