It’s hard to believe that the season is approaching its conclusion. With the warm weather behind us, the cold weather present and the very cold looming in the near future, we’ve been attempting to cover every meet, race and “gathering” within reason. With appointments to roll 3 cars’ fenders earlier that morning Spilner and I were a bit discouraged as to if we would be able to attend Island Import Day’s season finale. But the inability of a BMW 135i to hold their appointment provided us with an opportunity to go and doing so I made sure to go nuts and shoot every f$%kin’ photo-worthy gem insight.

Last weekend, Stafford Springs, CT played host to North America’s Largest gathering of Subarus. As you could imagine my assumption that the lot would be filled with “stage 2″ WRXs and STIs was completely accurate but that’s what helps define what is genuinely special. Without black, there would be no white, without shitty friends there wouldn’t be best friends, you get the idea. That said below are some cars and people that I felt required some special attention.

Spring flexed its muscles as Sunday’s weather presented a perfect opportunity for a subtle meet with some Euros. Unable to make the trip to Englishtown Raceway in New Jersey for Spring Nationals, Chris, Matt, Dirty, Evan (Newest Addition) and I organized and made way to Farmingdale, NY.
Having friends is a definite plus when modfying cars, for the most part at least as everyone know there’s that one guy or gal who should ever have a wrench in his hand. That being said Saturday was a day filled to the brim with buddies in view of the fact that we stretched a tire 275 onto a 18×12 work meister s1 (3pc) using nothing more than ether, a lighter, a weight, and last but not least a banana (probably the most important ingredient). Pictures soon of my brothers Z

I haven’t seen a nice one of these in a while. IS300, yes please.
It’s hard to believe that nearly twenty years ago Honda debuted the EF civic, a car that revolutionized the tuning aftermarket. Embracing the most current trends, this particular Civic has withstood the test of time and managed to become an internet icon.

If anyone has more information regarding this car please share.
Under the knife since’09, this ’94 Jetta has seen the attention of a life time. Doing what it takes to lay frame the right way. Apart from drastically modifying the entire front end, wheel tubs too too. Anthony realized it needed independent rear suspension, to give him the clearance to go lowwerr, and keep the wheels in the center of the tub ( this was all done before MasonTechs Great Plates). Possible with the installation of a spare sub frame. Aside from the enormous amount of fabrication and modification, this car still looks close to stock, then paired with 17” Artec PA’s, and the completely customized hydraulically adjustable perch coilovers, its easy to say this one is for all of us to drool over.
The journey back from a most fulfilling trip to Cali mandated that I take yesterday off from posting. Back and ready to rock out with my, uh…socks out. I bring you a video from the gentlemen at DudeBlvd.com
My recent employment has me on the prowl for a daily driver, something more spacious and comfortable than the S which is pretty much everything besides a Miata or Lotus lol. The 2 mile commute doesn’t necessarily require it but I still would like something a bit more practical and you cannot tell me that a 3 series on airbags is impractical…
I’m anxiously awaiting my first day at my new job. Instead of properly resting I’m up admiring this beautiful texan Z. What can I say, I love it so much.
“Anyone can get on the Internet and post a judgment on someone else” says Laura Holsen for the New York Times and SHE’S RIGHT. Today I’d like to pass judgement on this epic Lexus cruise. Thumbs up you say? Agreed. Although, the same fate cannot be said about this girl mangling the Party in The USA… needless to say, thumbs down. Merry Christmas!
The Sc300/Sc400/Soarer has always charmed me in a very special way. Sharing many qualities with the famed Supra, the close cousin is often that middle ground or heavy hitting performer with a ton of poise. Tuning to me is a balance between function and form, too much of either is unrealistic when the candidate has double duty.
After last weeks exciting cleanest Supra Contest, I’ve returned with yet another competition for internet supremacy. Fascinated with VIP styled, first and second generation, LS400s I ask that you give me something to think about. Unlike last week, where only one person won a sticker pack, the TWO best entries will be awarded them.

(max two LS400(1st&2nd gen) submissions per person, in the event that there are duplicate entries whom ever commented first reigns victor. Please use a proper email so that I can get in touch with you. ENDS 12/17/10 aka FRIDAY!)
Before you get to the saintly picture below, let me make it clear that I found this photo on the internet. That being so I’ve made an honest effort to find the source but being that it’s free of a watermark it will also be free of credit, respectfully. So if you recognize this product as your own or are aware who it belongs to say something, preferably NOT something along the lines of copyright infringement or you’re gonna sue us because your efforts will be in vain lol.
The phrase “Ivy League” has connotations of academic excellence, selectivity in admissions, and social elitism. These hidden meanings are a few reasons why we’ve agreed upon the brand name Ivy League East, that and the fact that all the Ivy League schools so happen to be within the North East Region.
One could imagine that a car enthusiast graduating from one of these exclusive institutions would be able to afford a car of unquestionable beauty and power such as the F360. But, as everyone with an interest in tuning understands, one is only satisfied for a limited period of time and the disease, if you will, starts to show its symptoms. That in mind, there appears to be a grey area as to what one does to a car already designed by Pininfarina? Preparing for the worst a little digging revealed a Fabulous option for the exterior.
We couldn’t have asked for anything better than what yesterday had brought. Awesome weather, awesome day, and some awesome cars. A lot or people showed for the last show of the year and it was a terrific turnout. I can’t wait to see what everyone has in store for next year…
I woke up yesterday without hesitation excited to discover what the North East stance community had to offer. With the routine weather forecast predicting rain, the blue skies outside my window would argue otherwise. Never one to disappoint we made our way over to our first meet spot 15 mins early so that anyone who came on time wouldn’t be under the impression that we had left already. Short of a few cars which were considered definite, we had to move forward with the show.

The day concluded with an unhealthy meal from Johnny Rockets and mild traffic which gave me the ‘itis on the way home. Reflecting on the day, the meet was short lived and considerably unorganized but the level of participation amongst the attendees was high to say the least. We’ll be sure to get a permit so that this type of thing doesn’t ruin our festivities when we have our meet in the Fall.
When people tell me things at meets, such as their profession or interests, I tend to be a bit skeptical. Such was the case with Jared Auslander a few weeks ago at the weekly Westbury Meet. He briefly explained that he had to film/shoot some event, at some stadium the upcoming weekend(I forget the details)…Enthusiastic that he was going to get paid, I was under the belief that his abilities were subpar. But, from his newest short film featuring Aaron Ok’s Jetta I am under a completely different impression. “DO WORK SON!” – Big Black
The more times I see Heyyy Mikey’s dumped toaster the more I want one. Besides having the extra room, the breakneck factor ranks high. I definitely would like to get into one of these as a daily. Those BBS meshies always bring a tear to my eye ha
