Stolen
As much as I’d like to have a “daily” gum scraper like the EG bubble below or the Acura Integras I’ve been sharing, the idea of having it stolen at every moment is incredibly discouraging. SMH

IDGAFOS…
Having attended Wek’Fest San Francisco a handful of months ago reality struck and the idea of ever getting featured in a magazine given the caliber of cars in attendance and the slow extinction of print was killed. And it didn’t really matter but the thought of magazines truly disappearing considering the quality of information the medium communicates is tragic to say the least. Yes there is heaps of information on the internet in the form of “DIYs,” reviews and such but few times are they as informative, suggesting tips and insight, as let’s say, HondaTuning. Many times I’ve encountered incongruences with user write ups on forums and I’m sure you have as well but the point is magazines of which we/I discovered JDM tuning and all things related are vanishing. Do yourself and the industry a favor and subscribe to whatever tuning magazine you read while sipping your large latte at Barnes and Noble with your girlfriend as it is about 25% the cost of the yearly subscription. It’s not about the money though, it’s about the reach and without that we are doomed to read poorly written posts, such as my own (you know this is a joke my posts are award winning), about how someone’s family member or friend inspired them to begin modifying cars so he/she stanced the shit out of there Suby. Constructive Criticism: EG Bubble
Far too often we are burdened with the criticism of the internet without any input as to how to appease the individual’s tastes. Sure, everyones’ input has some influence on the enthusiast’s build but it when nears the edge of the social norm and what “isn’t” cool, in any regard, members’ “two-cents” comes short changed, that is, without the constructive suggestion. Perhaps I’m beating a dead horse but being that what is considered common sense usually is not I see it as an opportunity to communicate my growing concern for the overall well being of the community. Carry on.

This slammed Honda EG Civic on Work Meisters is a platform that I’m sure would receive the most bias evaluation
Nostalgia: Volk’d EG Civic
Something about this EG Civic brings me back to my high school days when Sport Compact Magazine was my religion and all I could dream of was building a b-series Civic (It might be time to make that dream come true.) In other news, earlier today the gentlemen and I posse’d up and made way to the Metro NY Porsche Club’s 3rd Auto-X of the season at Tobay. As you could image it was filled with P cars of various generations as well as a number of Miatas. Holding true to our JDM roots, 3 out of the 5 us put our rice burners to the test. At the end of the day we left with ear to ear smiles, mildly bruised egos and short $40 but I guarantee you we’ll be back for some more

Pretty Bubbles
Everytime I come across a unmodified EG or EK hatch I’m tempted to pull the trigger and start another project.

Pretty Bubbles!
This afternoon good ole D’dirty and I made our way into NYC to chat it up with our friend and site developer Ry’Rich to discuss the rejuvenation of the lovely Ivy League East page. Excited? Me too. After tossing around ideas for a few hours, we’ve come to some what of an agreement in regards to appearance. The STORE and other adjustments will be made to make the page will be more visually appealing and easier to navigate. Party time!

everyone may not appreciate the chalk board hood but overall the car is “clean as a whistle!”
(whatever that means?)
the hood is flaming :X haha
Eg Heads
In my opinion, these are the best Eg hatches EVER! Challenged by very few, the blue and tan Civics take into consideration current trends but also share some of the classic attractions. Rob Chan shot these at what he calls the “MemoryFab BBQ aka Honda-Tech Jizz Festival” capturing the beauty that is these Hondas.
