Opportunity
Today marked the last day of my employment at NoLimitMotorsport. Not because of a vicious “blow out” or maltreatment but because I’ve grown as a person. Upon reception of the news some have apologized but I quickly silenced their concerns and expressed to them that my time is another resource that I’m able to utilize in pursuit of my dreams and goals.
With Evo Vs STi scheduled for this weekend as well as First Class Fitment the team has been split. Huy and Brian Arthus will be present at FCF and Amodei, Spliner, E and Your’s Truly will be in attendance at Evo Vs STi, and Atlantic City shortly after
…To a new beginning.

Track’d Integra
Insert wordy literary piece about how much I appreciate this car and something unrelated that has happened to me or will happen.
FRENCH
please don’t insert a comment about the wing. Yes, I know the car is FWD but it is used to neutralize steering, derp.
Meaty RSX
As if every post required some dramatic theme that has no relation to the car featured.

Ill Motion: RSX
The RSX and Si may well be one of Honda’s last performance FWD combustion engine “sports cars” but it is by no means the least admired. Having always been a fan of the Integra, their was no debate as to wether or not I was a fan of the DC5.
FRENCH
Pink means… RSX
After hearing and reading about Honda Day’s epic attendance at Atco Raceways I couldn’t help but to post something to support the community. Everyone loves to hate FF Honda’s so I figured I’d share one that’d received praise from Honda’s fanbois and the utmost hate from errrrrrrbody else.

Closer: Dc2
Track season is almost within reach and I can’t stop thinking about buying up an Integra. Having always wanted to build one, I think it might be time to take advantage of one and lap the s%&T out of it on the track and preserve the S2000. :shrugs:

JDMJay’s DC2 ITR Beater
For those of you who are under the understanding that a beater is… well a beater, are going to be baffled to discover that this ITR is JDMJay’s… “beater,” daily if you must. Parting out the CCWs to fund another project, AN NSX!, I for one have the highest expectations for Jay’s take on Honda’s flagship vehicle.
FRENCH
This is definitely one of those cars that has you considering another project. Craigslist time…
More Low: JPDC5 RSX
I’m itching to pick up a set of mesh wheels and this RSX is not helping. Looking super sassy on a set of Gold Works, JPdc5 displays just how easy it is to make an RSX Type-S “shine.”

Benchmark’d
FRENCH’s post a few days before reminded me of this one USDM Integra that caught my eye as I browsed through my flickr contact’s photostreams. Faiz Rahman, a fellow east coast photographer and a GREAT one at that, shot so called Mick’s Integra. The photos definitely do the car justice and there’s nothing I can really criticize about the car. Some nice fitting 2 Piece Meisters, an awesome shade of ruby red, and one really clean engine bay. This is an example of a quality build and definitely one that stands out from the rest of the tegs out there. Be sure to check out Faiz’s flickr and his website as well.

I’m Turning Japanese
After paying homage to all cars super and expensive lets return back to reality where boys and girls might actually have the opportunity complete a car of this quality in the near future.Lately I’ve become overly concerned about finances and those things related that I’ve missed the point, happiness. There was a time in my life where a clean JDM Integra would induce heavy breathing and mild hallucinations but with the quality of cars I’ve been witnessing lately, that feeling has softened. In an attempt to humble myself, here is an Acura that wasn’t built with an endless budget yet has presence.

Essential
Before I leave to grab something to defeat my hunger, I felt this very simple Integra was worth sharing. Custom cream colored Regamaster Evos with a healthy stance create just enough contrast to set them apart from the norm.

Integra in Sweden*
Saying the obvious, BBS wheels have found their way on to all applications recently and their isn’t anything the Euro Community can do about it. Native to the country recognized for the greatest gummy fish candy*, this USDM styled Integra is a melting pot of influence. Japanese car, USDM tuning style and German wheels (In Sweden). GET WEIRD!

Let’s be honest, it’s rare to see a DC2 in this condition and caliber in the North East
An Eventful Weekend
So this was a pretty fun weekend, minus waking up hungover on saturday and going late to the TSX meet (which I didn’t take pictures of… sorry) and later that day I met up with some of my friends in Queens. The next morning I woke up on time and I got to the ClubRSX meet in a timely fashion. Enjoy the pictures and envy.

Double Take
Whether you’re a fan of the Integra or the Civic you have to appreciate both cars’ style choice.

Thrilled
It’s hard to describe the feeling I get when I come across an awesome Integra or Civic. I’m not sure what it is that gets me animated about the budget race cars but there are definitely too many awful attempts at the platforms. This one stopped me dead in my tracks.

Clean EK
Amongst the sea of cookie cutter Honda Civics arises David Arocho’s ’97 Civic DX Hatch. The combination of quality parts, the B16b, well fitting body panels, lack of ’90s vader body kit, and especially that paint make the car what it is today. Sit back and enjoy the pictures (courtesy of Bryan Orjuela).
Props to David Arocho for doing it up right!

TRUTH HURTS
“Let’s face it, outside our little bubble, the average consumer doesn’t really want, or need, a fast Civic,” states Rodrez in the latest Honda Tuning magazine and he’s absolutely correct. He continues pointing out that Honda, in reality, has always been focused on “people-moving based on MPGs, value, and reliability.” But, what is it about the economical, cost-friendly, rice cooker powered Honda that attracts us? Is it the ability to put your own touch to the chassis at an affordable price? Perhaps, but there is always Nissan who has built performance themed platforms from the factory and also has a reasonably priced aftermarket. What I believe, although many Honda enthusiasts would hate to admit, is the challenge of winning after being recognized as the long shot. Yes, you’re the underdog. With the exclusion of the NSX, S2000, SI & Type R editions and maybe the RSX Type-S, Honda has put little effort into appeasing their tuner following which makes us even more interested. Doesn’t it? With that said, take a moment to appreciate your rice bucket as your hard work and DIY mentality will one day pay off when you wipe the smirk off your opponent’s face as you overtake them at a fraction of the cost.

FF SQUAD!
Honda.Day.2010
Yesterday, August 15 2010, Joe aka FRENCH and myself went to Honda Day 2010 at Englishtown (props to Sean PANA Stuart for inviting us). So here’s how the day went for me. Woke up at 6:30 AM to wash the car, took a shower, headed out to meet up with FRENCH, and then drove to E-town. I was in the show, but I didn’t compete because of complications with registration, but I still had a lot of fun. It was great to see some familiar faces and some e-famous and not so famous rides. I met up with PANA and we talked for a few and he gave us some crazy complements which really meant a lot. It was great to have conversation with a fellow car enthusiast and photographer about more than just cars and pictures of cars, but its culture. We can look at pictures all we want, but growth in the enthusiast, the culture, and the quality of the cars being built, is the ultimate goal of IvyLeagueEast because for those people out there that really do build cars because of their love for cars and all things incorporated, the car would not be sh!t without them. Remember, YOU should be building the car, NOT an internet forum, NOT a viral website, NOT youtube, just YOU!
So this post goes out to all of our less fortunate single cam, non-vtec toting car owners, as well as our lucky DOHC vtec equipped B, H, F, 2.0 or 2.4 liter K series, or 6 cylinder J series boasting die hard Honda fans.
Special shout-outs go out to Sean PANA Stuart, Sol Fresh Krew, New Image Motorsports, Dave Tormey and the rest of the Canibeat crew, and the one guy with the Red S2000 on teal Works for shutting-it-down!
Here’s our coverage from the show. Forgive me for the quantity of pictures that I took, but I think these will suffice.
