Some of our close follower’s may have seen that yet again, I ran into motor problems with my STi. Well time has passed, forged pistons have replaced the stock plastic ones, and the car is finally back and running better than ever. The car’s break in went smoothly with zero oil burnt, some additional modification’s were made in order to run E85, and before I knew it, the night before my tune had arrived and sleeping proved to be a challenge. While sitting in my room at 12am j, Corinna and I began to have an interesting conversation. Since jon was unsure about whether or not he would tag along I decided to sweeten the deal with some house music and LOKO, two of Jon’s favorite things! He was immediately DTF and to bed we went (err…. lol wut?).
A short five hours later we were on the road before the sun had risen. My car was packed with an interesting combination consisting of Loko for Jon, some good house music, and three 5 gallon drums of E85. The trip to Bethel, CT took a lot less time than expected, mostly thanks to a run in with the white 335i previously featured and before we knew it we were sitting in the sketchiest McDonalds I’ve ever experienced.
Surrounded by suspicious 15 year olds, we ate our food, got a sweet freestyle rap dropped on us in the parking lot about my “Soo-beh-roo”, and traveled the last 20 miles of our trip. We arrived a few minutes before Pete pulled up and took advantage of some pictures before the 10+ STis inside the shop were backed out and we were let inside. Before 9:00 Jon was already half gone and the car was being worked on.
After some wrestling in the lounge, some more Loko for Jon (He had a lot haha), and some photo editing, my car was ready for the dyno. Chris worked his magic on pump gas, making a TQ curve that was basically a straight line from 3000 to 5200 RPMs, but that wasn’t the main excitement for the day. After the pump gas tune was complete it was time for some good old corn(E85) to be poured in.
Immediately the car picked up an additional 20whp and 30wtq on the very first pull! After some more pulls, a few signals to up the boost, and a monstrous amount of AWTQ the tune was complete. An additional 50ft lbs was achieved just by swapping the fuel! Chris is THE MAN!
This trip is certainly one to remember and without a doubt the best Thanksgiving Eve Day I have ever had. The car is running awesome and had already claimed a bunch of names. Triple Rainbow.
Shout outs to Rob, Chris, and Pete at EFI Logics, for the awesome facility, great team of employees, and especially their services and to Manny at No Limit Motorsports.

…. Spilner made me sound like an alcoholic, but it really wasn’t that much haha. But it was a great way to spend Thanksgiving Eve. Hope you guys had a great weekend ( j )
The growth of the tuning culture has created a surplus of products and competition amongst all parts of the supply chain. Being that as it may, authentic brands are faced with an immediate dilemma. Taking an aggressive approach towards replica brands, Mackin Industries threatens to remove any authorized dealers who distribute Varrstoen wheels, a company whom has managed to make hi-quality* replicas of Volk TE37s and CE28s.
After a weekend full of Rota Grids I’m making an effort this week to share strictly authentic builds . No, I do not have a problem with Rota Wheels. It’s just exhausting seeing the same style wheel over and over again on different cars.
This TSX would come off as a hopeless performer given the autotradic transmission and the 3200 lbs curb weight but it is quickly remedied by a few diet supplements(CFRP) and a performance enhancer (supercharger). Touching upon the owners wild side, he* adds a little spice to the lightweight CE28s by powder coating the mags purply-pink which is accented by blue lugs. It’s an interesting color palette to say the least but the amount of genuine parts would compete with the most fiendish JDM hoarder.
I was looking up some info on forged wheels, and the production process, and came across this video on Youtube. Its not as 80′s and funky as the previous BBS video we posted, but it still shows how Rays works their magic.

Wow, what a day! After a 3hr and change drive to and from the New Jersey Motorsports Park I came home mildly disappointed. The beer garden was weak sauce, real weak sauce. Other than that my only concern would be to question where were the FWD Hondas?! The heavy East Coast Honda drag racing street racing scene seems to over populate the b20vtec boards with immaturity but I expected at least a few serious tuners to come out and lap legally. With my thoughts expressed I felt it appropriate to share this white Acura Integra (DC2) on TE37s by NYrican23 on Honda-Tech.com
After asking a bunch of questions, doing some background research and constructing a hypothesis, it can be concluded that TE37s are a perfect match for Hondas. Lately I’ve been a wheel whore learning the jargon and production methods. In the midst of my research I’ve done my best to understand which wheels are “rare,” an expression used LOOSELY immediately after wheels are discontinued. HA. From my understanding time attack TE37s have been the only TEs to be discontinued. Correct me if I’m wrong.
