Stolen
As much as I’d like to have a “daily” gum scraper like the EG bubble below or the Acura Integras I’ve been sharing, the idea of having it stolen at every moment is incredibly discouraging. SMH

“Success isn’t measured by the position you reach in life: it’s measured by the obstacles you overcome.”
-Booker T. Washington
I like to believe this Honda Civic initially developed to be an economical commuter car is a proper example of the quote above. Often a joke to the car enthusiast outside the Honda community it’s the underdog that was the foundation for an entire generation of tuners. True story, this Summer at a Watkins Glen circuit day with the PCA a gentleman driving a 996 GT3 Cup was more than enthusiastic about a turbo Civic at the clubs last outing. G’night

Seat Time
If you ever thought about going to the circuit you’ve come across the uninviting costs of doing so and like any competitive activity practice or in this case seat time it is what separates “the men from the boys” or is it? There has been a growing discussion among the Honda-Tech community regarding video games such as Gran Turismo 5 and Forza 4 and the idea that consciously playing them has benefited individuals when tracking in reality as the game physics are relative to that of the real World. Clearly not the only persons to think so as the television show, GT Academy was produced, note the word produced. In any case, the cost of becoming a respected driver ,if you do happen to believe the idea of simulators, has drastically been reduced and the Winter… well E and I are going to Miami for a few months :shrugs: Can anyone comment on Palm Beach International Raceway?

The Project Car
Having just passed my friend Sean in his “commuter” EF Civic of which he’s repainting habanero red and swapping in a b16A motor, O and might I add he just bought coil-overs for the thing, it brought to concern why someone would invest so much time into what some individuals would identify as “junk”, if you will. Having met Sean when he owned a 550+HP Suzuka Blue S2000 and seen him tinker around with a relatively fast Evolution 9, it boggled my mind as to why he’d pursue a car that in comparison to his previous toys is of NO comparison whatsoever, in any respect. For some it maybe the car that they’ve always had interest in as a child but knowing Sean and how old he is suggests otherwise. Idle hands? Quick flip? Boredom? Who knows but when I take on a new perspective and reflect upon my S2000 I guess the same could be said if you were mister money bags. :shurgs:
Is the phase “economy sports car” an oxymoron only to be realized with more money?

NSX Friday
After I have my way with my current S2000 which I’m picking an amuse r1 bumper for this weekend, I’ll be sure to move on to Honda’s bread and butter, the NSX.

Ferio’cious: Track Civic Sedan
Having previously owned a Civic sedan when I was in high school , that was, as you could already imagine, stolen, this street/ track Civic (JDM sland- Ferio) evokes strong nostalgic emotions :sigh:.

Pink means… RSX
After hearing and reading about Honda Day’s epic attendance at Atco Raceways I couldn’t help but to post something to support the community. Everyone loves to hate FF Honda’s so I figured I’d share one that’d received praise from Honda’s fanbois and the utmost hate from errrrrrrbody else.

Roll’d Up Aces Over Kings. EK9 Civic
Having caught the racing bug my “stanced” S2000 is in need of some handling correction. Running nearly -3 (front) and -4 (rear) degrees of camber, my grip is suffering due to the minimal contact patch. Wanting to maintain the stock body while running my RPF-1s, Spilner and I split a roller to solve my problems and take care of business. :Fingers Crossed:

Track season is almost within reach and I can’t stop thinking about buying up an Integra. Having always wanted to build one, I think it might be time to take advantage of one and lap the s%&T out of it on the track and preserve the S2000. :shrugs:

JDMJay’s DC2 ITR Beater
For those of you who are under the understanding that a beater is… well a beater, are going to be baffled to discover that this ITR is JDMJay’s… “beater,” daily if you must. Parting out the CCWs to fund another project, AN NSX!, I for one have the highest expectations for Jay’s take on Honda’s flagship vehicle.

This is definitely one of those cars that has you considering another project. Craigslist time…
HKS Premium Day NA1 Widebody NSX
This weekend gave way to some much need me time. With work absolutely becoming a factor in my lifestyle an opportunity to create some separation between the two was without a doubt essential. For those of us who are under the belief that your work and social life can exist independently are in for, as cliche as this may sound, “a rude awakening.” Feeling that I’ve undersold myself, this NSX brought my goals back into scope and the pursuit of achievement shall proceed and continue. We have our shirt designs ready for print, we are just waiting on one of our friends to return of Cali so we can put an order in together as you get breaks with increased quantity. We’ll also be getting some more sabre-skulls cut for the new season and the site should have a new layout soon as promised by Ryan Rich.

Benchmark’d
FRENCH’s post a few days before reminded me of this one USDM Integra that caught my eye as I browsed through my flickr contact’s photostreams. Faiz Rahman, a fellow east coast photographer and a GREAT one at that, shot so called Mick’s Integra. The photos definitely do the car justice and there’s nothing I can really criticize about the car. Some nice fitting 2 Piece Meisters, an awesome shade of ruby red, and one really clean engine bay. This is an example of a quality build and definitely one that stands out from the rest of the tegs out there. Be sure to check out Faiz’s flickr and his website as well.

Reiterate
Like I’ve mentioned before, you can never go wrong with a clean Civic. The NorthEast is saturated with EF,EG and EK tuners but few of them have any sense of style which is why I praise tastefully executed Hondas like you see below.

I love everything going with this TSX. Intercooler (TURBO!), the monotone color scheme and the Work equips…classic

Contrary to my previous position, this NSX blends seamlessly with the most current tuning platforms.

NSX: Dated? I think not…
This post is in response to FRENCH from a day or 2 ago. He was saying how the NSX looked dated next to the GTR and what he said was valid, but I think with the right touches it could overshadow the much praised Skylines and Silvias any day of the week. I was doing some searches on google for colors I might want to paint my car in the future and I came across this Lamborghini Gray NSX with chrome Super Advans.
To be completely honest, I did a lot of digging to get some of the high-res photos of this car and it didn’t help that the car was sold a few years back, but I must say that when I saw the car, I immediately fell in love and knew I had to see more of it. The owner of this car was Daniel K. Song and the vision for his car as well as his photography is on point. It was definitely refreshing to see an NSX without the Veilside or Sorcery kit. Great job Daniel.

An Eventful Weekend
So this was a pretty fun weekend, minus waking up hungover on saturday and going late to the TSX meet (which I didn’t take pictures of… sorry) and later that day I met up with some of my friends in Queens. The next morning I woke up on time and I got to the ClubRSX meet in a timely fashion. Enjoy the pictures and envy.
